Noah McMillan

International Educational Consultant

Now based in Siracusa, Italy, Noah works with international families and students to find the best-fit schools and universities. His extensive travel—visiting campuses, meeting international school partners, and staying current on trends—helps him bring valuable first-hand insights to each family he works with. From the U.S. to Europe and beyond, Noah’s global perspective ensures that he can provide informed guidance tailored to the diverse needs of international students.

Noah’s journey with McMillan Education began long before his official role as an educational consultant. Like all family businesses, the children of the proprietors are often enlisted early, and Noah was no different. He grew up alongside the business, working side-by-side with the most seasoned educational consultants and benefiting from the direct mentorship of his parents. This unique experience shaped his deep understanding of school and university planning, giving him expertise in navigating diverse educational landscapes around the world.

Noah’s expertise extends beyond traditional educational consulting. He has a specific skill set when working with international families and student-athletes, helping them navigate the unique challenges of applying to schools that recognize the value of both academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. His ability to leverage cutting-edge technologies—like McMillan Education’s proprietary W.I.S.E. Method™—has been pivotal in helping students and families stay organized, on track, and ahead of deadlines.

In addition to his work with students, Noah plays a key role in McMillan Education’s marketing and outreach efforts, helping the organization connect with families, schools, universities, and therapeutic programs globally. He is also deeply involved in creating and refining McMillan’s digital content, which shares thought leadership on topics related to school, college, and admissions landscapes, as well as healthy student development.

Before rejoining McMillan Education, Noah explored the field of behavioral health as a Behavioral Health Professional for Pathways of Maine, where he provided mental health support for low-income families. This experience reignited his passion for guiding students along their educational journey, a passion that now informs his work with McMillan’s international clientele.

A student-athlete himself, Noah attended independent day and boarding schools throughout his education, playing lacrosse, football, and hockey. He graduated from Avon Old Farms School and later pursued a degree in Classical Studies at Tufts University, with a concentration in political philosophy.

When not advising families or traveling the world, Noah is an avid reader of ancient history and philosophy. He lives in Siracusa with his wife, Molly. Together, they enjoy hiking Mt. Etna, swimming in the Ionian Sea, and exploring the ruins of ancient Rome and Greece with their dogs, Socrates & Baker. Noah’s love for history, culture, and adventure deeply influences the personalized guidance he provides to students, ensuring they not only find academic success but also thrive in environments where they can explore and grow as individuals.
